Located about 14 miles west of Vail and 4 miles west of Avon on I-70, the town of Edwards is another option for people who want to visit or work in the Vail Valley and don't mind driving a short distance to the ski areas. The Riverwalk shopping area and Edwards Corner has a good variety of restaurants, boutique shopping, a movie theater and evening entertainment close by. On Friday's, the restaurants in the area have "FAC" (Friday Afternoon Club) which gets people out on the sunny porches and primed for the start of the weekend.
