Located about 14 miles west of Vail and 4 miles west of Avon on I-70, the town of Edwards is often the most affordable option for people who want to visit or work in the Vail Valley and don't mind driving a short way to the ski areas.  There are plenty of dining and shopping options available in town, but for upscale restaurants, boutique shopping and apres-ski entertainment you may need to make the drive to Vail.
