Birds of Prey Downhill Races

This race series Is a fully accessible event. Beaver Creek staff can take visitors directly to the bottom of the finish area by the use of a specially outfitted truck equipped with treads and a wheelchair lift.

Free parking is available by parking in the lower day lots at the base of the access road where buses equipped with wheelchair lifts, are available to take spectators to the "covered bridge". From there,  passengers can catch a second bus to the base of the trail which accesses the course via a snow covered trail. This trail is a good distance up a gradual hill, but there will be a truck available to take passengers who need assistance directly to the race finish area.

  • Accessible facilities are available at the Red Tail concession area.
  • If you are skiing to the event, there is a wheelchair available at this location near the South end of the main floor porch. Keep in mind that this is an early season event and the conditions on the access trail to the finish arena can get quite skied-off. "Rock skis" are recommended.
  • Accessible viewing area with raised platform. You can't get closer to the action that this.
