Avon is the town located closest to the base of Beaver Creek Resort.  Located about 10 miles west of Vail on I-70, Avon provides more affordable lodging options than Vail Village, Lionshead, or the base area of Beaver Creek itself.  For visitors who don't mind a short (10-12 minute) drive to the ski areas, Avon is a good choice for lodging.  A good array of restaurants can be found in Avon itself, while those looking for finer dining and boutique shops will want to make the trip to Vail Village.
